How to prevent damage to the oil pump of the heavy oil burner
1. Cut off the oil. When the oil is cut off, the oil pump usually emits a scream. At this point, immediately stop the machine and check if there is oil in the tank. It is best to install a fuel cut-off alarm device in the fuel tank or regularly observe the fuel consumption of the fuel mark on the fuel tank to avoid damaging the oil pump due to fuel cut-off.
2. Poor oil quality, high water content, and high mechanical impurities. This is also the main reason why oil pumps are often prone to damage, so it is necessary to strengthen filtration, clean regularly, and drain the oil tank regularly. When entering the engine oil, check the oil inspection report to see if it meets the combustion conditions of the burner.
3. The quality of the oil pump is poor. Anyone in the burner industry may have experienced this situation. The quality of the oil pump equipped on the burner is far from that of early oil pumps. For example, a user in Shanghai owns a Vespert RMS9 heavy oil burner. The oil pump broke down within less than three months of normal operation. Most people definitely say that there is a problem with the quality of the heavy oil used by users, which is what I thought at the time. But the user denies the quality of the oil! They said that they also have a Weisaupt RMS5Z heavy oil burner in their factory. It uses the same type of heavy oil, the same pipeline, and the same oil temperature. Why has RMS5Z been in use for five years and the oil pump is not broken, but your pump has been used? It broke in less than three months? Now I have nothing to say, seeing that my profit has become negative due to replacing the oil pump. Usually, the burner oil pump is not included in the warranty repair scope. At that time, we held a responsible attitude towards users and avoided conflicts with them, which was not smooth. It took four months to replace the oil pump. It's broken again, what should I do? Replacing the pump with another pump is too much. If it malfunctions during the warranty period, the user cannot prove its rationality. Therefore, I made up my mind that long-term pain was more severe than short-term pain, and with the consent of the user, I replaced the original TA3 pump with a domestically produced gear pump. The renovation was very successful, not only reducing my losses, but also making replacement easier and cheaper after the user's warranty period. Now, this heavy oil engine has been in use for over a year without any problems.
4. The pipeline has gasification. At this point, the pump pressure of the oil pump is often unstable. When unstable pump pressure is found, dehydration and exhaust treatment should be immediately stopped.
5. Some small units misjudged the three-phase electrical phase during circuit maintenance, resulting in reversing of the burner oil pump and damage to the oil pump. Of course, this phenomenon rarely occurs, but it is not without it.
6. Human factors. Some operators may remove the gear of the oil pump when cleaning it. If not assembled properly, it is easy to damage the oil pump. In fact, simply clean the filter inside the oil pump. If conditions permit, diesel can also be used to burn for a while, and oil pumps, pipelines, and nozzles can also be cleaned.
